Who is my
best friend?
(Paula
Campos Soares)
I
can not complain about my friends. I have few friends, but they are people who
I can trust almost all my secrets, because, off course, there are secrets you
take with you to the grave. Among all my friends, I may choose two and call
them my best friends.
The
first one I am going to tell about is Marina. I may say she is the only female
friend I have. We met each other four years ago while we were studying college.
She is a very funny person who you may have a very good time with. However, she
is quite complicated. She likes to act like the most intelligent person in the
group and sometimes she enjoys a little of showing off. But, actually, her
worst problem is that she smokes and, for me, few things are worse than
smoking. Still, even having some problems, I think she is a great friend.
The
other friend I chose to talk about is my best friend of all, indeed. His name
is Felipe. We first met seven years ago, in high school. He is like me in
almost everything, for example: we are not people who like to go to dance
clubs, we prefer to stay home watching a good movie or talking to our other
friends. He is a very responsible and intelligent person, who studies hard to
become a great History teacher. Felipe likes listening to good music, and when
I say ‘good’, I mean rock music. He doesn’t smoke and doesn’t drink, either. I
may say he is a perfect friend for me, I mean, a perfect boyfriend. We’ve been
dating for almost five years, and those years have surely been the best ones of
my entire life.
All my
friends have an important place in my heart, but Marina and Felipe are the ones
who I trust more. I have passed through a lot of difficult situations with them
and those situations have made our friendship become much stronger. Every time
I hear or read the word ‘friend’, I remember them, because I love my friends.
